1. Standard Government EPI Timeline in Bangladesh
The Expanded Programme on Immunization (EPI) provides vaccinations against Tuberculosis, Polio, Diphtheria, Pertussis, Tetanus, Hepatitis B, Hib, Pneumonia, Measles, and Rubella.
- •At Birth: BCG (Tuberculosis) + OPV-0 (Oral Polio).
- •6 Weeks: Pentavalent-1 (DPT-HepB-Hib), PCV-1 (Pneumococcal), OPV-1, fIPV-1.
- •10 Weeks: Pentavalent-2, PCV-2, OPV-2.
- •14 Weeks: Pentavalent-3, PCV-3, OPV-3, fIPV-2.
- •9 Months: MR-1 (Measles-Rubella).
- •15 Months: MR-2 (Measles-Rubella booster).
2. Managing Post-Vaccination Discomfort at Home
Swelling and redness at the injection site are normal immune responses. Apply a cool, clean damp cloth to soothe the area. Do not massage the injection site, and avoid applying ointments or home remedies.
